Easy Tea Party Snacks
Pretty-as-a-picture Layered Pound Cake
Some might call this cheating, but I call it smart. Take a prepared pound cake (of course, you can always opt for my Lemon-Glazed Five Flavor Pound Cake), slice it into pieces about 1-inch thick, then cut each piece in half. Put one of those half-slices onto a dessert plate, top with sliced strawberries and a dollop of fresh unsweetened whipped cream, then top with the other half-slice. Add more strawberries, whipped cream, and a sprig of mint. That’s it!
Carla’s Tip: It’s nice to have plenty of small bites to nibble on at a tea party. I like to serve my Lemon Black Pepper Shortbread, Cheddar Pecan savory cookies, and Harissa Spiced Nuts.
